UNC Athletic Communications Department
In the spring of 2021 I began working for the UNC Athletic Communications Department as a paid intern. In this role, I record live stats, write game notes and recaps, run Zoom press conferences, update social media accounts, and more. I have worked with many different sports teams, including, football, men’s basketball, baseball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse, and others. Below are some examples of game notes and recaps I have written, as well as live stats that I have kept for the UNC Athletic Communications Department.
Football Game Notes
These are game notes that I wrote recapping the 2021 spring football game to be posted on goheels.com.
Men's Lacrosse Game Notes
This is a game recap that I wrote for the North Carolina vs Denver men's lacrosse game to be posted on goheels.com.
Soccer Live Stats
For home men's soccer games this year, I was responsible for keeping track of live stats using StatCrew and StatBroadcast. These live stats are directly linked to the scoreboard, goheels.com, and the ACC Network tv broadcast. The live stats are saved in box score form, which you can see here.
North Carolina vs Clemson Baseball Live Stats
I was in charge of keeping live stats for many home baseball games this year. These live stats would be put directly onto the goheels website for coaches and fans to view. The live stats are saved in a box score format which you can see here.
